About This Blog

After avoiding social media forever, I don't want to be a silent onlooker anymore to the challenges of our times. So, like the town meeting in Norman Rockwell's classic "Freedom of Speech," this is my place to speak up about legal or regulatory business-related matters that draw on my particular experience, or issues of public importance. Other than the link to the separate blog where my wife and I document our leisure travels, personal or family matters will not appear here.

This interactive blog is also an opportunity to have dialogue, and perhaps revise or deepen my thinking in response to new facts or a different perspective. The richness of that dialogue depends upon your thoughtful comments.  For the time being, I will moderate any comments before posting ... hopefully, experience will soon demonstrate that there is no need for me (or anyone) to do so.

Since we may not know each other personally, links and lists in the right sidebar and footer offer my best self-perception of the professional and life experience, personal philosophies and sources of information that influence what I post. Like my views, these are subject to revision as time marches on.

So, welcome! You are invited to subscribe for e-mail notice as future posts occur, and I hope to hear from you as your spirit moves you.
